Yep, that’s right! And want to know where? You might recognize this…
Washington D.C.! I’,m sorry that posting has been sparse around here, but I’ve had a good reason.
My husband and I have wanted to move to DC for a long time, we just never thought it would happen. We own our home in Charlotte, he had a great job, I started a business, and our families are close. We couldn’t fight off the urge to move to DC, however, so we put a plan in action and made it happen.
H starts his job the first week of May (so soon!), so we are still figuring out the logistics. We’re going to look for an apartment, and we’re completing house projects like crazy. I’m beginning to pack, and we’re going to look for renters for our house. It’s all happening so fast!
What does this mean for the blog? Good things! It means that the projects around the house that I’ve been meaning to finish have been or will be finally finished and shared on the blog. I will also be sharing updates about how to pack and how to prepare your house for renters, which I’m sure some of you have done or will do in the future. I will also finish the One Room Challenge to completion, although I may not be posting in real time near the end of the challenge. Also, the most exciting part is that I will soon have a brand new space to decorate, from scratch! I am very excited about paring down and simplifying (a thing you have to do when you move from a large house to a small apartment), and also decorating a new space. So stick with me! I promise it will be worth it. If anything, I’ll have more exciting things to post about now!
So here’s my question for you…if you’ve been to DC, tell me about your favorite sight/ restaurant/ museum/ neighborhood! We’ve been dozens of times and are seasoned pros at navigating the city, but I am always open to new suggestions!
And thank you all…I am very excited to start the new adventure and cannot wait to have you along for the ride!
