Hello lovelies! I am back with another addition to my (now former) House Tour. I wanted to share the "finished" product of each room in the house before I moved, so I took photos of what each space looked like before I packed it all up. I already shared my dining room tour, and today, I'm sharing my entry/ foyer!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I got a wild hair and painted the interior of my front door black the day before the moving truck came to load up our stuff. I had been finishing projects right up until the last minute because we are renting our house, but let's be honest...starting a project at the 11th hour is not unlike me. This space isn't really a complete "staged" space, but rather a few things that were waiting to be loaded onto the truck that I pulled together quickly. Had we stayed in this house, I probably would have eventually found a new entry table and rug, but I still wanted to show you what it looked like in here before we left.
Here's a reminder of what it looked like when we first moved in five years ago:
And here's what it looked like right before we moved!
We installed chair rail molding around the entry and up the stairs. We also got rid of the horrible linoleum floors, as well as the wretched carpet. Also, painting the interior of the door black was the best decision that I made in this space and I wish I had done it sooner.
The rug was an inexpensive HomeGoods find.
I spray painted our Target (via Goodwill) entry table a bright citron a few months ago before we knew we were moving. The space needed a bright punch of color, and I was feeling fancy...so bright she went!
I loved the overall feel of the space. Bright and airy, but still sophisticated and fun. I just hope our new renters love it as much as I did!
