Hello all! I hope everyone had a great weekend. My 27th birthday was yesterday (yikes! 27?), and I spent a leisurely morning with H and had an awesome Whole30 compliant dinner feast at my parent's house. Speaking of Whole30, tomorrow is day 30! I'll be back with a recap and some news about the program, so if you've been following along, make sure to check back tomorrow! :)
I've been working little by little in my office. So far, I've hacked an Ikea desk, created a 5 minute memo board, painted a wall black, and gave a cabinet a pink and white makeover. Today I'm going to share an idea that I got from the lovely and talented Sarah Dorsey...oversized statement art!
In Sarah's tutorial, she provides free downloadable PDFs (how awesome is that?). So I just downloaded the saying "Never ever give up", which I thought was apropos for me right now, since I've started my own business. There have been a few rough patches here and there, but this phrase is something I've had to remember and repeat to myself over the last few months, and it's ultimately proved to be so rewarding. What better place to put it than over my desk?
I didn't have the space to use the larger frames like Sarah did, so I e-mailed my local Staples print shop, explained what I wanted, and asked for them to resize it for me. I had them print it out on engineering prints, and the whole thing cost less than $4 to print! For the larger frames, I used these frame from Ikea, and for the smaller frame (which I didn't have to resize), I used this frame.
