DIY Black and White Spotted Art

Spotted fabric is so so hot right now. I love how the print looks like snow leopard, which is really just a giant cuddly house cat...and we all know how I love cats. Actually, I don't condone cuddling with large wild animals. Probably not the safest.

Anyway, I had a blank wall above my bar cart, so I decided to create some of my own art that mimicked the spotted print!

I added some fresh flowers to the bar cart, too.

I wanted the art to look sleek and not stick far off of the wall, so I bought two cheap poster frames (16x20) at Target for $5 each. I have them a few coats of gold, cut the art to size, and hung them on the wall!

I painted these with watercolor so that I could vary the depth of the spots to make it look more natural. I also "clumped" the dots together to create an animal-like stripe on the painting. I just love how they turned out!

It looks great with my new dining room light fixture!

The black and white looks great with the navy wall, and acts as a neutral in the room.

And because I love them so much, I'm giving away a pair of spotted art to YOU!

    1. Hi Chernee! It is vintage, and I found it in a thrift store. I don't think it's too old, though... maybe 80s?
